The work outlined here will cost in the
region of £400,000. That is a lot of money, but with the support of our
large congregation and local community, we believe it is attainable. It
will mean a commitment from each of us, in the faith that the work of our
church is worth expanding into the future. St Peter’s Church has been
bequeathed much by past generations; this is our chance to show our equal
commitment to the future.
How much you can donate is, of course, dependent upon your own
circumstances. There are three ways in which you can give:
by a one-off donation;
by a regular, monthly amount over four
years;
by the offer over 5 years of an
interest-free loan to the church, if you have capital with which you
cannot afford to part permanently.
For taxpayers, it is now very simple to make your donation under the
Government’s Gift-Aid scheme. This results in our reclaiming an
additional 28p from the Inland Revenue for every £1 you donate (correct at
the time of editing). Example of donations under gift aid
