The Parish Picnic and Games Afternoon is held from lunchtime on Sunday, 13th June at South Weald Cricket Club in Sandpit Lane. This is an event for everyone, young and old and it is child friendly. Simply come along with your picnic and enjoy some fun and good company!
Can you help? In preparation for the Patronal Festival, we are having a tidy up in the churchyard around the church on Saturday 19th June, starting at 9.30 am. Anyone with an hour or two to spare is welcome to help weed and trim the flower beds. Please bring some gardening tools, e.g. trowel, border fork or edging tool. SPREE (St Peter’s Recreational Events for Everyone):
SPREE Mersea Outing, Saturday 12th June: we plan to meet at Cudmore Grove Country Park, East Mersea at 11 am and, if the weather is good, have a picnic (or you can make your own lunch arrangements). Sign up on the list is at the back of church. A map showing the park and other attractions etc. will be provided. (Note that high tide is 1pm, so the Strood will be inaccessible between 12.15-1.45 pm.) For more information contact Michael Bitschiné (229313).
